What is job crafting
and why would you want to do it.

If our work was an item of clothing, for many of us, it would be a straight-jacket. Or at best an ill- fitting suit. Modern working practices are failing us - constraining rather than amplifying our diverse skills, strengths, passions and interests. So how can you bring the personal touch to your work? The answer, I believe, lies in job crafting, which is about encouraging people to customise their work the way a tailor would the final fit of a semi-tailored suit.

Actively transforming how you approach your work—by redesigning, adding, or eliminating tasks to infuse more joy and fulfillment into your daily routine, making each day at work more enjoyable and rewarding.

Shaping how we relate and engage with others, including building and adapting our relationship with colleagues and/or outside partners.

Identifying what are your strengths and how to ensure you use them in your work. What are the skills you need to enjoy your work better, what are the skills you want to develop.

These activities go beyond the functional aspects of work and often carry emotional significance, contributing to a shared identity among team members. Examples of team rituals include morning huddles, monthly team dinners, or celebrating achievements and birthdays. How can external facilitator change quality of your meetings.

An external facilitator can significantly enhance the quality of your meetings by bringing a fresh perspective and specialized skills. They are neutral parties with no vested interest in the outcome, which helps in maintaining objectivity and fairness. Good agenda is a single most important thing to make your meeting effective.
